Mid 1970’s, Dr. Becker from Syracuse Medical University commenced research into colloidal silver created with the use of silver rods. He later concluded: “What we have done was rediscover the fact that silver kills bacteria, a fact which had actually been known for centuries…All of the organisms we tested were sensitive to the electrically generated silver ion, including some that were resistant to all known antibiotics…. The electrically generated silver ion was doing something more than killing bacteria… it was also causing major growth stimulation of tissues in the wound… In no case were any undesirable side effects of the silver treatment apparent.”

Dr. Becker’s research lost funding.  He wrote many books on healing with silver. Now he has passed away.
